Certified Welders & Boilermakers - Workshop

Key Solutions Group currently have a number of casual positions for Certified Welders and Boilermakers to work on a new Manufacturing Project with Medium Structural Steel Components, based in our Paget workshop.

Details:
  • Immediate Start
  • 4 - 6 Weeks duration
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Day and night shift available
  • Monday – Saturday work available

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Welding standard to AS1554-4:2010
  • Trade Certificated Boilermaker
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings

This project has strict delivery timeframes so you will need to be reliable, punctual and provide your own accommodation in Mackay. In return you will receive competitive remuneration and work alongside a team of experienced tradesmen

Civil Engineer

Expansion of our engineering and consultancy capacity has resulted in Key Solutions Group seeking a suitably experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team, based in Mackay.

You will have a BEng Civil or equivalent, along with 5+ years’ experience in the design and supervision of relevant projects including:

  • Earthworks and Roads
  • Stormwater Drainage
  • Water and Sewage Reticulation 
  • Project Management and Contract Administration
  • Have RPEQ qualifications, or as a minimum be eligible and working towards RPEQ registration.
  • Competency in the some / all of the following; Civil 3D, Autoturn, HEC-RAS, EPANET, Microsoft Office and Project
  • Understanding of relevant Australian Standards, State and Local Government policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge and application of civil engineering codes, construction standards, TMR standards and specifications, procedures and construction techniques.
  • Experience with / interest in developing basic structural engineering skills would be highly desirable, though is not essential

Mackay Based Overhaul - ALL TRADES

Key Solutions Group have a large number of upcoming casual positions for work based in Mackay for the following trades:

This roof support overhaul project has strict delivery timeframes so you will need to be reliable and punctual. In return you will receive very competitive remuneration with additional bonus paid at completion of the project. Accommodation included where required and a meal allowance will apply to all workers.

Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Mackay and Bowen Basin region.  As one of our Mechanical Engineers you will be involved in a number of maintenance projects and the completion of reliability improvements to equipment in the nearby Bowen Basin.

  • To be considered for this role as Mechanical Engineer you will have:
  • 5+ years’ experience with design and projects as an Engineer
  • Must have Longwall equipment design and maintenance experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience using 3D modelling packages
  • Experience with Longwall equipment.
  • Bulk materials handling experience would be advantageous
  • Must have excellent people and communication skills
  • Be willing to work extended periods on-site to see your project delivered
  • Have RPEQ accreditation – advantageous only.

To be successful you will be a highly motivated individual with an attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Ideally you will bring some experience with bulk materials handling gained in your 5+ years in the mining industry. You will be responsible for the detailed design, manufacture and site supervision of projects and therefore take complete ownership.  You will however, be a team player that contributes openly to the team dynamic.

Workshop Mechanical Co-ordinator

Key Solutions Group are seeking an experienced Workshop Mechanical Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team based in Paget, Mackay. This is a fast paced role which will suit candidates who are career driven with a desire to develop their current skills and abilities.

  This role is responsible for:
  • Maintaining a high safety standard and the required system processes.
  • Providing leadership, supervision and mentoring to the workshop team.
  • Quality standards and the accurate recording of QA documentation.
  • Detailed reporting that accurately captures all repairs and maintenance requirements.
  • Customer relationships by being service minded with a professional manner.
  • Planning & scheduling all workshop activity to ensure deliveries are maintained and achieved.
  • Quotations and report method work statements.
  • Supporting the Workshop Manager

Key Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar position

  • Project management, scheduling, reporting and estimation

  • Proven ability using Microsoft Software including Excel, Word & Outlook

  • Problem solving & Decision making skills

  • Able to influence and manage change

  • Ensure High Safety Standards

Qualifications / Knowledge

  • Trade Certification / Engineering Diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven industry knowledge within Mechanical, Hydraulic & General Structural Equipment.

  • Class C Driver’s Licence

  • Forklift & Overhead Crane Ticket

  • HR Licence (desirable)
