We are seeking a Detail Oriented and Proactive Accountant to join our team with a direct report to the Finance & Commercial Manager you will become an integral part of the finance department. The accountant will be responsible for managing core financial functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a large, complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts’ receivable function, including invoicing, payment allocations, and debtor management

  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded

  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports

  • Complete BAS and Payroll Tax reporting in a timely manner

  • Maintain and enhance core finance systems (e.g., Xero, Sprint Suite)

  • Implement and maintain financial policies, processes, and internal controls

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Support payroll processing in collaboration with HR and Payroll teams

  • Deliver ad hoc financial reporting and administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience required:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business

  • 3+ years’ experience in a finance administration or accounting role

  • Proficient in financial software systems (Xero experience highly regarded)

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and Australian accounting standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across departments

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
