In addition to this you will hold the following skills/qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Longwall equipment design and maintenance experience highly regarded

  • Prior experience using 3D modelling packages

  • Bulk materials handling experience would be advantageous

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Reporting to the department manager, this varied role encompasses:

  • Providing engineering design support as needed to achieve project goals

  • 3D modelling using Inventor and drafting of design concepts

  • Consultation with clients to ensure all design/project goals are achieved

  • Assisting with Project management and scheduling of tasks and resources

  • Assisting with quotation and estimation of project resources

  • Development of procedures and QA documentation

  • Development of standard repair drawings

  • Liaise with the team to ensure drawings are amended and reissued in a timely manner
